I want to build on the regeneration now underway and attract better paid jobs to Camborne and Redruth.
Over the last five years I have focused on three major projects. Firstly I was able to secure £5 million pounds of investment and remove bureaucratic barriers to the restoration of Hayle Harbour. Secondly, I worked to secure over £20 million in Government funding to build the new East-West link road that will see Tuckingmill regenerated. Finally, I campaigned for and secured the designation of the Old Brewery site in Redruth as the location for the new Cornwall Archive.
We have made real progress reviving our towns in recent years with many big projects underway, but there is more to do, especially when it comes to attracting better paid jobs.
