I have worked hard to champion all our local schools. I helped Camborne Academy with its efforts to host the 2013 International Student Science Fair. I have worked with Hayle School with its plans to build a new sports hall and have supported all the work that Redruth is doing on sport. I have also lobbied the Government to secure investment in Cornwall College to rebuild the catering block.
If re-elected, I want to build on what has already been achieved. Already we have seen improving academic performance and fewer young people left behind. Now I want to see young people from Camborne, Redruth and Hayle leave school with the skills to take advantage of the new opportunities that I am fighting to bring into the area.
