Taking a break from the popular Redruth Mining and Pasty Festival, George Eustice MP caught up with progress at the brewery site.
George was joined by local residents and a former manager of the brewery to get an update on the initial regeneration works now underway that will eventually create a Cornish Archive Centre to be called Kresen Kernow.
George has been involved in negotiations to get the project off the ground from the start and earlier this year there was a crucial land deal between owners of the site and Cornwall Council that gave the project the green light.
The Centre will create local jobs during its construction and employ local people once it is completed, bringing in an estimated £1.4 million per year to the local economy.
