Earlier this month, Matt Hancock, Minister for Business and Enterprise, visited Cornwall. The Minister spoke at a breakfast meeting in Redruth hosted by George and attended by local business owners. This was followed by a visit to Rodda's Creamery and Wave Hub in Hayle.
After the visit Matt Hancock said "“I had a brilliant visit with George Eustice last week in his constituency. George organised a fantastic breakfast for local business leaders. There has been a surge of business creation across the South West since 2010 with 172,900 new start-ups in the area and we used the breakfast to discuss the ways in which we can increase this even further, making Britain the best place to start and grow a business in the world. George is a brilliant local MP and a powerful voice for Camborne, Redruth and Hayle.”
George also added “I was really pleased Matt Hancock was able to visit the constituency, not just to answer questions from local business leaders, but also to see some of the area’s success stories like Rodda’s and Wave Hub. The latter of which is the first commercial test facility for wave power in the world and a great example of the new and exciting industries that are being drawn to the area.”
