Michael Gove visits Cornwall

George Eustice recently welcomed Michael Gove, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, to Cornwall. It was a busy and varied day, and one of the highlights was a visit to Duchy College at Rosewarne.

George Eustice welcomes new employment figures

George Eustice has welcomed figures released by the ONS showing that more people are in work than ever before. Unemployment is at its lowest level since 1975. Over 3 million more people are now in work since 2010.

Meeting with representatives from Real del Monte

This week, George has welcomed representatives from the town of Real del Monte, Mexico, to Westminster.  Real del Monte is twinned with Redruth. The group enjoyed a tour of Parliament before they travelled to Cornwall in time for the annual Redruth pasty festival.

George welcomes "Product of Cornwall" scheme

George recently met Cornwall Council to discuss their new "Product of Cornwall" scheme.  It seeks to build and extend the long running "Made in Cornwall" scheme which recognises local Cornish manufacturers.

Camborne Show 2017

George recently attended Camborne Show. The show is an opportunity to celebrate Camborne’s rural heritage, and attendance has been very high in recent years.

George attends Gwinear Show

This year's Gwinear Show took place at a slightly later date than in previous years. The show continues to be a great success, with events ranging from show jumping and gymkhana to a companion dog show and a variety of trade stands.

General Election 2017

The General Election on 8th June 2017 saw George Eustice re-elected as the Member of Parliament for Camborne, Redruth and Hayle.

Funding for Carn Brea Leisure Centre

George recently visited Carn Brea Leisure Centre to discuss an upcoming refurbishment project. Funding has been secured from Sport England to refurbish the swimming pool and deliver other maintenance and improvements.
