Cornwall set to receive vital funding for search and rescue equipment

George Eustice, Member of Parliament for Camborne, Redruth and Hayle has today welcomed the news that Cornwall Search and Rescue Team is set to receive a funding boost of £33,862.87.

The funding will be directed towards essential search and rescue equipment that will help teams like that in Cornwall continue their essential work of lifesaving every day. Since launching in 2014, the Rescue Grant Boat Fund has provided £5.7 million to 104 charities around the UK.

George commented, "Our Search and Rescue teams carry out vital work to keep our waterways and seas safe. The many people and charities that give up their time, save lives every day and this additional funding will ensure that they have the craft, equipment, and resources to provide these services year round."
