This week, George met Rosemary Hereford who was celebrating her 104th birthday.

Rosemary was made a Cornish Bard for her exceptional talent as a musician. Many local residents have fond memories of music lessons with Rosemary.

Marine Hub Cornwall Goes Live

Marine Hub Cornwall has gone live. Located over sites at Hayle, Tolvaddon and Falmouth Docks, the Zone will build on what has already been achieved and establish Cornwall as a global centre for the marine renewable energy sector.

Lowest UK unemployment since 2005

George Eustice has welcomed the news that the UK unemployment rate has fallen to its lowest level in 12 years.

It is also great news in the South West, where 248,000 more people are back in work since 2010.

Cornish Culture Fund

Cornwall’s MPs have welcomed the Government’s £100,000 funding boost for culture and heritage projects across the county.

The Government has confirmed it is awarding Cornwall Council a £100,000 grant, spread over two years, to create a Cornish Culture Fund.
