Clerkenwell Design Week & Chelsea Flower Show

This week, George attended Clerkenwell Design Week. He met two of Cornwall’s leading creative companies, Nixon Design and MARK Product. Together with Invest in Cornwall, they were doing a fantastic job of promoting Cornwall as a place for great business.

Protected Food Names

This week saw a showcase of Protected Food Name products in Parliament. There are over 80 foods which enjoy protection under the PDO, PGI and TSG schemes at present, including the Cornish Pasty, Cornish Clotted Cream, Fal Oyster and Cornish Sardines.

George attends Trevithick Day celebrations

On Saturday, George Eustice MP attended the annual Trevithick Day celebrations in Camborne. The days commemorates the achievements of Richard Trevithick, which epitomise the contribution made by Cornwall to the Industrial Revolution.

George meets Portreath pupils to discuss plastic

Pupils from Portreath School recently wrote letters to George to tell him about their school work on the issue of plastic. Last week, they were invited to Parliament to take part in an All Party Parliamentary Group meeting with Surfers Against Sewage.

An extra £2.5M to repair potholes in Cornwall

Today, George Eustice MP has welcomed £2.5 million of additional investment to repair potholes in Cornwall. This will fix an estimated 50,000 potholes, following the recent winter storms that caused considerable damage on our roads.
